Psychic
Palmistry
Palmistry, the psychic readings
which examine the hands, not just the palms, is one of the oldest forms of divination. Known as cheiromancy, from
the Greek word cheir, meaning hand. It possibly originated in China over 5,000 years ago and spread across Asia and
the Middle East to Greece, where Aristotle wrote on the subject in about 340 B.C.
The Romans brought it from
Greece to Western Europe and it was developed gradually over the centuries by Paracelsus, a Swiss physician of the
sixteenth century, and Count Louis Hamon, (known as Cheiro) the greatest of the nineteenth-century palmists. The
claim that palmistry was started by the Gypsies, or even brought to Europe by them, has never been proven. It seems
to be popular romantic notion, rather than fact.
Today palmistry is very popular,
as it seems so simple, requiring no equipment. But it is deceptively complex, demanding much psychic knowledge and
experience if it is to be practised with any clairvoyant accuracy and insight.
Careful consideration of both hands is required when doing a psychic reading
through Palmistry. The hand that you write with is the hand of free will, your other hand is known as the hand of
fate.
The hand of free will covers
your character and choices in the present, the hand of fate reveals your potential from birth and future events.
The lines always vary between a pair of hands. The lines on your hand will change over time, depending on your
circumstances and how you are feeling.
Different hand shapes
An earth hand or practical hand, has a broad palm and short fingers,
indicating a down-to-earth, hard-working, industrious nature, also very intuitive on a daily level.
A fire hand or intuitive hand, with a long palm and short fingers, indicates a quick, restless person, tending to
be an individualist.
A water hand or sensitive hand, with a long palm and long fingers, suggests a
person of strong emotions and imagination, and perhaps a volatile or introverted character.
An Air hand or intellectual hand, with a square palm and long fingers,
suggests an orderly, clear-thinking person, articulate and incisive.
